Launch of the GTM AI Podcast and Newsletter

My friends!

Excited to launch the first newsletter and podcast episode of the GTM AI Academy now on Youtube and on Apple, Spotify, and a plethora of other locations.

This newsletter will serve as both highlights from each weeks podcast AND hopefully give you some value when it comes to all things GTM AI in your business, role, or work.
Remember, my goal is to show how AI can create business and job impact OVER learning fancy new tools. So everything we talk about will be to that end.
As a quick reminder, the GTM AI Academy exists to provide AI Enablement (business impact over just learning tools) to GTM teams, individuals, leaders, in all job roles across a GTM team.

Right now we have running the Generative AI Foundations course, suited for anyone in GTM team and then Enablement AI powered which is obviously geared for Sales, Revenue, GTM Enablement leaders and teams. Coming soon are courses for Sales, CS, Revops, BDRs, Leaders, and more.
With that being covered, LETS DIVE IN!
Huge shoutout to Ques.AI on their help with podcast content!

What to expect in Today's newsletter:
  • Highlights and updates from the AI world

  • GTM AI Strategies to consider
In the rapidly evolving landscape of artificial intelligence, significant developments from Google and Microsoft have unveiled new avenues for Go-To-Market (GTM) teams to enhance their strategies and operational efficiencies.
Gemini Advanced by Google: Google has introduced Gemini Advanced with its Ultra 1.0 model, succeeding Bard. This upgrade signifies a shift towards more sophisticated AI capabilities, offering users enhanced coding, logical reasoning, and creative collaboration tools. Gemini Advanced aims to serve as a comprehensive tool for complex tasks and is poised to redefine how GTM teams engage with AI technologies for content creation, data analysis, and customer engagement. The introduction of Gemini Advanced underscores the importance for GTM teams to leverage advanced AI tools for strategic advantage, enabling more nuanced interactions and smarter automation. Gemini still offers a free version which I would recommend using OVER ChatGPT 3.5, specifically for research since it has access to the internet and comparing the two side by side, Gemini performs better and faster. On a personal note, I recently upgraded to the Gemini Advanced paid version to test out prompts and results. Will be doing a side by side comparison soon.
Microsoft CoPilot: Microsoft's focus on integrating AI across its suite of products, including Office and Teams, suggests a strategic emphasis on enhancing workplace productivity and collaboration. I have seen some teams get access to CoPilot faster than others, but from what I have seen, you are able to create Powerpoints, use it inside of Excel, and all sorts of functions across the Microsoft suite or products. The integration of AI into widely used software like this makes it so your tasks that are being done in each can be done twice as fast. Should make a dramatic difference.
ChatGPT: GPT Store and Teams Options: The introduction of new functionalities in ChatGPT, including the GPT Store and integration options for Teams, reflects the ongoing expansion of AI tools designed to support business processes. These developments are likely to offer GTM teams versatile new ways to incorporate AI into their workflows, from enhancing customer service with automated responses to streamlining project management and collaboration within Teams. The content marketing team and I currently use the Teams option and I am loving it for a few reasons such as: 1-Added security and opted out of using our confidential info for AI training of OpenAI, 2-Oversight and view into what the team is working on, 3-Easily collaborate with Custom GPTs for the team specifically.
Technically this should be 4.5, but ChatGPT has given the functionality of being able to use the @ symbol inside of a thread and you can switch in between GPTs. So for example, you can now go from building a diagram GPT, to building a slide deck GPT, to making a video GPT all in the same chat instead of having to switch into 3 different chats. As the functionality advances and gets better, this will be more and more useful. This is new as well, so will be testing this out and sharing with you all as we go.
Theresanaiforthat.com and the Importance of Testing Tools: People ask me all the time, "DO you know of an AI tool that does this....?" I always suggest to them, theresanaiforthat.com which is an AI aggregator that uses AI to help you find the right AI tool for what you need to accomplish. For GTM teams, this means a wealth of options for optimizing various aspects of go-to-market strategies, from market analysis and segmentation to personalized marketing campaigns and sales automation. I always suggest to do a test run or even just do a month to month subscription of a tool, test it out and see how you like it. This is how I have found a majority of the tools I use is trial and error and testing tools against each other. This is also how I found that I preferred plusdocs.com then Gamma.app, then Beautiful.ai for the purpose of building slide decks. I settled on plusdocs because it integrates with Google slides. I will be interested to see how the new Gemini integrates with Slides and how that develops.

Leveraging AI innovations in Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies is becoming increasingly essential for organizations aiming to achieve personalization at scale, efficiency in operations, enhanced decision-making, and dynamic content creation. Here's how real-time examples and expert sources illustrate the transformative impact of AI in GTM strategies:
Personalization at Scale
Generative AI significantly enhances the ability to personalize marketing messages and campaigns. By analyzing customer behaviors and preferences, AI enables marketing and sales teams to tailor their efforts more directly, improving targeting, conversion rates, and revenue. This level of personalization helps cut through the noise, fostering a stronger connection with the market.

Example: Starbucks
Starbucks uses its AI-driven recommendation system, Deep Brew, to offer personalized ordering suggestions to customers through its app. This system analyzes a customer's previous orders, time of day, weather, and location to suggest the most relevant items, significantly enhancing the customer experience and driving sales

Efficiency in Operations
AI tools streamline GTM operations by automating tasks such as content creation, data entry, and customer support. This not only speeds up content production and data handling but also offers more personalized messaging and complex lead nurturing strategies. The result is a significant increase in operational efficiency, freeing up time for innovation and strategic tasks.

Example: Autodesk
Autodesk's virtual agent, Ava, automates customer support by handling routine inquiries, allowing human agents to focus on more complex issues. Ava uses natural language processing (NLP) to understand and resolve customer problems efficiently, showcasing how AI can streamline operations

Enhanced Decision-Making
Predictive analytics and machine learning algorithms are invaluable for GTM strategies, providing insights that help anticipate market trends and customer behaviors. These tools aid in making informed decisions about marketing campaigns and sales strategies, ultimately improving the effectiveness of GTM efforts.

Example: Netflix
Netflix uses AI for predictive analytics to not only personalize recommendations but also to make informed decisions about which new original content to produce. By analyzing vast amounts of data on viewer preferences and viewing habits, Netflix can anticipate market trends and customer behavior, optimizing its content creation and acquisition strategies

Dynamic Content Creation
With AI tools like generative AI, creating engaging and relevant content for marketing materials and customer engagement becomes more streamlined. Generative AI's capabilities in speech, text, and image generation based on user input offer a wide range of possibilities for dynamic content creation, enhancing the creativity and relevance of GTM content strategies.
